Imagine you are at home completing an important project in AutoCAD and just encountered a scenario, there is no power and you are running on a UPS with just few minutes of power supply left.
Then the best solution for you to work with AutoCAD is to reduce the AutoCAD Automatic Save Time.
[help]What is Automatic Save[/help]
Automatic Save is an option in AutoCAD that helps you save your AutoCAD drawings at the interval you specify. The saving usually takes place in minutes.
To Access this option and input the values
- Right Click on the GUI of AutoCAD and select Options
- On the Open and Save tab, under the File Safety Precautions, select the Automatic Save check box.
- Enter a number in Minutes Between Saves.
[note] When we set value to Zero[/note]
In case you set the value to zero, all that would happen is AutoCAD Automatic Save Option will be turned off
In the next post let’s see more about creating backup copies during each save
