Fitting Text and Arrow in AutoCAD

Every now and then, you’ll need to dimension a small gap or a small part of an object in which dimension text won’t fit. The Fit tab includes a few settings (other than the ones you’ve already worked with) that control how dimensions act when the extension lines are too close.

The Text Placement group contains three options to place the text in tight situations:
Beside The Dimension Line Places text next to the extension line but close to the dimension line. You’ll see how this affects your dimension later.
Over Dimension Line, With Leader Places the dimension text farther from the dimension line and includes an arrow or a leader from the dimension line to the text.
Over Dimension Line, Without Leader Does the same as the previous setting, but doesn’t include the leader.
The options in the Fit Options group let you control how text and arrows are placed when there isn’t enough room for both between the extension lines.

Get out of AutoCAD Viewport

All the time, there are those simple questions with simple answers which are still difficult to users get the solutions answered, one of them is below

How to Get out of AutoCAD Viewport

There was a question raised by a member of this blog – One of my drafters has (IN PAPER SPACE) zoomed inside of the viewport area and double clicked and now looking through into model space. I can’t work out how to get back out of the viewport.

Well the solution is rather simple :

Try PS. Well if that’s still a question of doubt, try this solution ” Also, in the lower, right corner, there is a small black triangle flyout. If you right click on that, you will see a list of buttons to control osnap, polar, etc. Just check beside Model/Paper and that will add the button back down below your command line window. ”

Hope this solution helps for those who are using the different versions of AutoCAD.

Working with Sticky Panels in AutoCAD

In this tip you will learn more about Sticky Panels in AutoCAD. Sticky Panels are created when any panel within the Ribbon Bar are removed and moved into the drawing window. Let’s see some of tips related to Sticky Panels in AutoCAD.

Working with Sticky Panels in AutoCAD Software

Why AutoCAD Raster Design 2013 ?

autocad-raster-design-2013

Although we can create Raster Image in AutoCAD, Why AutoCAD Raster Design 2013 ?

AutoCAD software enables you to insert, view, and plot raster images, but you cannot edit and modify these images or perform image processing with AutoCAD software alone. With AutoCAD Raster Design 2013, you can modify and save or export images for use with other drawings or applications. As a raster conversion and editing application, AutoCAD Raster Design includes an easy-to-use image management tool to help organize the numerous raster files you may be using in your project. AutoCAD Raster Design 2013 also improves DWG™ image management by providing the ability to embed images in the DWG file so you do not have to administer separate image reference files. It includes additional tools such as tonal adjustment, palette controls, Raster Entity Manipulation (REM) with SmartPick, raster snap, image rubbersheeting, optical character recognition (OCR), and vectorization tools with SmartCorrect. In addition, AutoCAD Raster Design supports a wide range of commonly used raster data, such as the JPEG 2000, ECW, and LizardTech® MrSID® formats.
