ACI Workbook
The ACI Workbook is a self-study course and exam that helps candidates prepare for the Workshop.
Once the necessary fees have been paid, candidates are enrolled in the ACI Workbook and Workbook Knowledge Test (WKT). Candidates will have 45 days to complete both the workbook and WKT and must pass with a score of 80% or higher in order to proceed to the Workshop.
ACI Workshop
The ACI Workshop is a 3-day assessment in which candidates teach 2 modules from the Industry Standards documents which are randomly assigned on the first day. Candidates will be evaluated during the workshop on their teaching style and practical (applied) knowledge of the material presented. Each candidate must pass the ACI Workshop to become certified.
What Happens During an ACI Workshop?
Candidates must come to the Workshop prepared to teach any module from the Industry Standards documents for both fundamental and intermediate students. You will be asked to present 2 randomly assigned modules. After each 45-minute presentation the Autodesk Certification Evaluator (ACE) and your peers will provide you with constructive feedback.
You will also have the opportunity to observe and learn a variety of presentation styles from your peers.
- All presentations are recorded.
- Candidates and peers will participate in a Pros and Cons session after each presentation.
- Following each presentation, peers will complete a Peer Evaluation form.
- The ACE and the candidate will meet one-on-one to discuss detailed feedback.

Existing ACIs may recertify by successfully completing Autodesk Professional certification*, as well as the ACI Workbook and Workbook Knowledge test.
Cross-Certification is available to current ACI interested in obtaining ACI accreditation for additional Autodesk products. Existing ACIs may cross-certify if they successfully complete Autodesk Professional certification* for the additional product as well as the Workbook and Workbook Knowledge test.
*Not applicable to Autodesk® Softimage® software.
Candidates requesting to recertify or cross-certify without first having successfully completed the current Autodesk Professional certification will automatically be rejected.
